ST JOHN?S, Antigua- Antigua & Barbuda Golf Association will be sending a 15-person team to represent the country at the Eastern Caribbean Golf Association (ECGA) Tournament in St Kitts from October 11 to 13.? Accompanying the team will be the association?s president, Everett Lake.
Sir Vivian Richards highlights the team as he represents the country in the Super Senior division. He played for Antigua & Barbuda last year at the International Pairs World Final held in Scotland.

?Sir Viv is similar to how he is on the cricket field. He is very aggressive and he talks a lot of smack; but he is a strong player,? said team captain Paul Michael.
Along with the former West Indies skipper, the squad will debut a female team consisting of Amaya Athill and Kris Kamajian.
The men?s team will be Michael (captain), Omari James, Stuart Gordon, Wilston Charles, Kahil Sealy and alternate Andrew Hall.? The senior team will be Xavier Ross, Wesley Dyer, Fitzroy Nicholas and alternate David Leonard.
The remaining super seniors are Ralph Francis and alternate Edward Cools-Lartigue.
?We have to win a title. Just like last year we won the men?s championship for the Eastern Caribbean Golf (Tournament), so we are the defending men?s champions going in,? Michael said.
When asked whether this team format is similar to that used in the Ryder Cup which involves various match play competitions between players selected, with the winners of each match scoring one point for his/her team, Michael said that, ?it is pretty similar, (but) the Ryder Cup has only two teams (Europe and the USA).?
However, for the ECGA, ?it is a lot of Caribbean islands going up against each other.?
The Antiguan golfers will go up against teams from The Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos and the US Virgin Islands.
